The Dell EMC VxRail Appliance family is the only completely integrated, pre-configured, and pre-tested VMware hyper-converged infrastructure available. VxRail Appliance offers a wide range of configurations based on Dell PowerEdge servers and a “pay-as-you-grow” approach. With single-node scaling, you can start off with as few as three nodes and scale non-disruptively up to 64 nodes per cluster, providing a flexible, cost-effective solution that lowers overall TCO.

Extend VMware Environments

Managed through the VMware vCenter interface, VxRail Appliances provide existing VMware customers a familiar experience. With the integration of existing VMware tools, customers Dell EMC VxRail can also leverage and extend their current IT tools and processes.

VxRail Appliances come equipped with mission-critical data services including replication, backup, and cloud tiering. With built in EMC CloudArray, the VxRail Appliance can extend to public and private clouds for a secure storage capacity expansion without limits. The appliances also integrate with VMware’s cloud management platform and end-user computing solutions.

VxRail Appliances are built with the latest Intel Broadwell processors and offers the flexibility to choose the appliance that is best suited for your needs.

The VxRail portfolio includes:

  • G Series – General-purpose nodes for broad hyper-converged use cases. Up to four nodes fit in a single 2U chassis. Models include the G410 (hybrid) and the G410F (all-flash).
  • E Series – Entry-level nodes for remote deployments. One node per 1U chassis. Models include the E460 (hybrid) and the E460F (all-flash).
  • P Series – High performance nodes optimized for heavy workloads. One node per 2U chassis. Models include P470 (hybrid) and the P470F (all-flash).
  • V Series – VDI-optimized nodes for specialized use cases, such as high-end 2D/3D visualization. One node per 2U chassis. Models include V470 (hybrid) and the V470F (all-flash).
  • S Series – Storage dense nodes for demanding applications such as big data and analytics. One node per 2U chassis. The series includes the S470 (hybrid).
